UK fashion brand Hype has partnered with Bristol-based green group Ecologi to become a fully sustainable business.

The company has agreed to offset its emissions through the partnership, planting a tree for every order that is placed.

It has so far planted 19,120 trees and supported reforestation projects in Papua New Guinea and geothermal power production projects in Indonesia to offset its emissions.

Ecologi has calculated Hype’s savings to date at 87.42 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalents (CO2e), equal to more than 215,000 miles driven in a car.

The retail business, based in Leicestershire, has set a goal to become a fully sustainable business by 2022 and has begun to use recyclable packaging alongside offsetting to achieve this.
