LaSalle achieves ‘Outstanding’ BREEAM rating with 60 London Wall building

The 60 London Wall office building has been awarded the BREEAM 'Outstanding' sustainability rating.

Real estate investment firm LaSalle acquired the 10-storey office development in the City of London on behalf of Real estate investment firm LaSalle acquired the 10-storey office development in the City of London on behalf of The California State Teachers’ Retirement System.

By reusing the existing sub-structure and part of the superstructure, the embodied carbon of the building is 40% less than an average new-build office.

Rooftop planters aim to support biodiversity and the firm claims the building's energy efficiency credentials 'significantly exceed' the required energy performance of a new construction.

Gary Moore, Fund Manager at LaSalle, said “The team has designed and delivered this stunning new office building and we are extremely proud to have achieved an ‘Outstanding’ BREEAM certification.

"We believe in delivering sustainable buildings to meet both the investor and occupier’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) credentials and are confident this design and management will be integral to the future success of the asset.”
