AMP Clean Energy welcomes ten point plan but awaits further support on industrial decarbonisation and off grid heating

The Prime Minister has set out the UK’s ten point plan to tackle climate change, deliver net zero and launch a “green industrial revolution“.

Boris Johnson says the new plans will create and support up to 250,000 British jobs while allowing the UK to “forge ahead with eradicating its contribution to climate change by 2050” in the lead-up to the COP26 climate summit being hosted in Glasgow next year.

Richard Burrell, CEO of AMP Clean Energy, said: "Big announcement from the Prime Minister on greening our economy. Great to see a growing emphasis on heating our homes, business and industry, but we need the right package of support if we are to deliver on heat decarbonisation in business premises and industry.

"We look forward to further announcements on industrial decarbonisation and heating off gas grid later this year."
