Gillette has pledged to halve the use of virgin plastic in its products by 2030.
As part of the company's new sustainability plan, 100% of Gillette's packaging is expected to be recyclable by 2030 and new products with 100% recyclable packaging and featuring handles made from post-consumer recycled content will soon hit the market.
The razors and personal care brand also committed to using 100% renewable purchased electricity, halving greenhouse gas emissions for manufacturing and reducing water consumption by 35% by 2030.
Alessandra Dolfini, Gillette's Global Senior Vice President, said: "From addressing waste to reducing water consumption, Gillette remains committed to our goals in areas that are a priority for our customers, as well as other critical challenges across the supply chain, including reducing emissions, sourcing responsibly and ensuring ingredient transparency across the board."
