Nearly a quarter of Brits ‘would pay more for eco-friendly cleaning devices’

Almost a quarter of Brits would pay more money to buy sustainable cleaning devices for their homes.

That's according to a survey conducted by Currys PC World, which suggests consumers aged 16 to 24 are twice as likely to consider the environment in their cleaning habits than over 55s.

The survey of 2,000 individuals also highlights a total of 12% of the respondents already commit to buying only eco-friendly products and almost 9% make their own cleaning supplies to ensure they don’t contain harmful chemicals.

The findings of the report also suggest the North East is the least eco-conscious, while as many as one-in-five Londoners buy eco-friendly products.

However, one-in-ten Brits admits they would rather replace or throw away their blender, kettle or toaster than clean it if it was dirty.
