ENGIE partners with aerospace joint venture to speed up liquid green hydrogen production

The collaboration aims to support the decarbonisation of heavy-duty transport, trains and jets

French energy firm ENGIE has teamed up with aerospace firm ArianeGroup to develop hydrogen liquefiers in France to speed up the production of liquid green hydrogen.

Partners will work together on developing and testing optimised liquefaction technology with the development of a hydrogen liquefier at ArianeGroup’s industrial facility in Vernon, France, which claims to be Europe's largest hydrogen test centre.

The partnership, which intends to boost efforts to decarbonise heavy-duty transport, trains and jets, will also see the development of a range of liquid hydrogen products and services for maritime and inland waterway applications.
