Alfen selected to install 30 EV chargers for VW’s port terminals

The firm will deliver the infrastructure at key import points in Sheerness, Grimsby and Tyne – this is where VW’s EVs are imported and charged

Alfen has been selected to supply 30 electric vehicle (EV) charging points at the port terminals of the Volkswagen Group UK.

The firm was selected by ElectrAssure as EV charging partner for the key import points in Sheerness, Grimsby and Tyne – this is where the firm’s EVs are imported and initially charged.

Naomi Nye, Sales Manager at Alfen, said, “We have been working with ElectrAssure for a number of years now and have always been impressed by their professionalism, dedication and knowledge of the EV charging landscape.

“We are very pleased to support them and another one of the largest automotive OEMs to deliver the quality hardware together with the smart software to give Volkswagen Group UK the charging infrastructure they need.”
