Carbon Clean Solutions Limited and Marubeni Corporation partner to develop CCUS projects

Carbon Clean Solutions Limited (CCSL) and investment firm Marubeni Corporation have partnered to jointly support and develop Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) projects on a build-own-operate model.

Projects in Europe will start immediately, focusing on capturing the greenhouse gas from the steel, cement, waste management and petrochemicals sectors for use in local markets.

The businesses hope to further advance the partnership in the future by investing in additional global projects.

CCSL hopes its “containerised” solution will achieve a $30 (£22.8)/tonne cost of carbon dioxide capture by 2021.
