Bramble Energy raises £5m in investment round to accelerate ‘unique hydrogen fuel cell’ deployment

Bramble Energy has raised £5 million in its latest investment round to accelerate the deployment of what it calls its 'unique hydrogen fuel cell' technology.

The company was joined by existing investors, including IP Group, Parkwalk Advisors, and UCL Technology Fund, which helped raise the funds needed to help bring its patent-protected fuel cell one step closer to commercialisation.

Bramble Energy says the fuel cell can be manufactured in almost any printed circuit board factory in the world, meaning it could be extremely scalable - the wide availability of suitable facilities capable of production is also expected to "dramatically reducing the time to market and investment required".

Dr Tom Mason, Co-Founder and CEO at Bramble Energy said: “This is a hugely exciting time for Bramble Energy, with many eyes focused on the UK’s leadership role in the transition to a greener economy. We are solving some of the greatest barriers to the adoption of fuel cells – through our ground-breaking manufacturing route, scale-up potential and low-cost production."
