Carbon8 Systems has signed a commercial agreement with the Vicat Group cement company to deploy its award-winning technology at Vicat’s Montalieu cement plant, near Lyon in France, next month.
The UK company's process combines industrial waste residues or by-products with captured carbon dioxide emissions to produce high-value, lightweight construction aggregates.
The new deal marks the first commercial deployment of its CO₂ntainer system in Europe and follows successful demonstration projects at cement plants in the UK and Canada.
