The micromobility firm Lime has announced it has reached the milestone of 150 million renewable-powered rides across its global operations.

The company estimates these journeys have avoided 32 million miles of car travel for riders and saved 1,300,000 gallons of fuel, which is equivalent to approximately 100,000 full tanks of petrol or diesel for an average car.

Lime says: “These kinds of numbers are almost impossible to comprehend, but it’s incredible to think about how these efforts have helped to reduce carbon pollution.”

The firm operates in 30 countries with initiatives like Lime Hero designed to help riders support local causes or Lime Aid providing transportation for essential workers throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
