Berry Gardens slashes carbon footprint by 292,000 tonnes with rooftop solar array

Berry Gardens has slashed its annual carbon footprint by 292,000 tonnes with a new rooftop solar array at its headquarters in Linton, near Maidstone.

The berry and stone fruit producer was able to deploy the 993KW renewable energy infrastructure thanks to a £780,000 green loan from HSBC.

More than 3,600 solar panels covering an area of 6,143 square meters are expected to generate enough energy to supply the equivalent of 237 large houses for a year.
