Ford keeps hands on a carbon-neutral wheel by 2050

The manufacturer has set a goal of powering all its plants with locally-sourced renewable energy by 2035

Ford intends to achieve carbon-neutrality globally by 2050.

To achieve its goal, the carmaker will focus initially on three areas, which account for approximately 95% of its carbon dioxide emissions - vehicle use, supply chain and facilities.

The company has set a goal of powering all its manufacturing plants with locally-sourced renewable energy by 2035.
