Formula E racing is set to resume in August at Tempelhof Airport in Berlin, following approval of the FIA.
Six races will take place behind closed doors across nine days to decide who will win the 2019/20 ABB FIA Formula E Championship, which was suspended after five races due to the coronavirus outbreak
The races at the historic German airfield will use different track configurations to ensure unpredictable and exciting racing - currently, DS TECHEETAH driver Antonio Felix da Costa is topping the standings but is only 11 points ahead of nearest rival Panasonic Jaguar Racing’s Mitch Evans.
Formula E and the FIA have been working in close consultation with teams and local authorities to define a robust plan to conclude the championship in a safe manner - only essential staff and competitors will be allowed to attend the event, with a maximum number of 1,000 people on-site at any given time.
Key health and safety protocol includes mandatory coronavirus testing prior to the races, as well as on-site screening and social distancing measures.
