Hot meals will be dispatched to UK Power Networks’ customers in London, the South East and East of England since the firm, which delivers an essential service, teamed up with Deliveroo and Uber Eats this month. Providing meals for customers during extended power interruptions isn’t new but with most restaurants still closed during Covid-19, the firm has now changed tack to make doorstep deliveries instead!
One surprised customer received a chocolate birthday cake for her daughter after a power cut struck during their celebrations. She said: “Thank you, you certainly went above and beyond to help make my daughter’s birthday!”
