Neste acquires fat and oil hub in Rotterdam to store fuel feedstock

Finnish biofuel-based diesel and aviation fuel developer Neste has acquired 100% of the Count Terminal Rotterdam.

The acquisition consolidates Neste’s efforts to strengthen the global waste and residue raw material market - the facility is a hub that stores and refines cooking oil and animal fat intended for human consumption.

As part of Neste’s acquisition, it will be used to store feedstocks for the company's low carbon fuels.

Peter Vanacker, Neste’s President and CEO, said: “This is another important step for Neste in the execution of our growth strategy.

"This acquisition supports our efforts to build a global renewable waste and residue raw material platform that can keep pace with the world’s growing demand for renewable products.”
