Dominion Energy quadruples clean generation targets as part of 15-year plan

The new plan aims to create jobs, increase access to renewable sources and improve Virginia’s energy storage infrastructure

Dominion Energy has quadrupled its renewable energy generation targets as part of a newly-announced 15-year plan.

The expansion will add around 24,000MW of renewable energy and storage capacity over the period and includes a goal to install 5,000MW of offshore wind energy by 2035, as well as 16,000MW of solar capacity and 2,700MW of energy storage.

The installation of the new capacity is expected to generate a significant number of jobs and bolster access to clean energy across the region.
