Legal & General Capital invests in low carbon water-heating tech in the UK

Legal and General Capital has invested in low carbon water-heating technology in the UK.

The investment firm has acquired a 36% stake in ground source heat pump technology developer Kensa Group.

The UK's heating system contributes up to 15% of the country's total greenhouse gas emissions - Legal and General Capital forecasts Kensa Group’s alternate low carbon, low-cost technology could help achieve net carbon-neutrality in the household heating sector.

The investment aims to help bring the UK closer to its commitment to reach net-zero emissions by 2050.
