Online retailer helps Italian Red Cross out with fleet of EVs

Yoox Net-a-Porter Group has announced it is donating a fleet of zero-emission electric vans to help the Italian Red Cross deliver food and essential supplies to vulnerable people during the coronavirus outbreak.

The company says the new EV fleet will hit the streets in Milan and support the charity's national programme 'A time for kindness', which serves vulnerable communities during this critical time.

The volunteered vehicles will allow the Red Cross committee of Sesto San Giovanni to deliver food and essential supplies to the elderly and other socially isolated local communities, as the charity adapts under intense pressure to fulfil their primary objective, to prevent and alleviate human suffering.
