Net zero future ‘could accelerate faster’ after Covid-19 crisis

Coronavirus presents an 'opportunity' that could drive net zero actions to move more quickly in the future.

That's the suggestion from Dr Colin Herron, Managing Director of Zero Carbon Futures, who spoke to future Net Zero Founder Sumit Bose earlier this week about a potential silver lining for the environment that may arise from the coronavirus crisis.

He suggested: "Covid-19 has given us a pause button. It has taken the industrial revolution and everything we have done up to 2020 and pressed stop.

"If everybody grabs the opportunity that now presented by this pause, things will accelerate better."
