SSEN publishes EV strategy to achieve 2030 sustainable goals

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) has published its Electric Vehicle (EV) Strategy that outlines the principles needed to support decarbonisation of the transport industry.

To achieve its target to help develop an electricity network that accommodates 10 million EVs by 2030, SSEN is inviting customer and stakeholders’ feedback to help with this ‘critical’ transition.

The 2030 sustainable target is also supported by the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets.

Andrew Roper, Distribution System Operator Director at SSEN, said: “Our EV Strategy sets out our ambition to support our customers, stakeholders and our colleagues through this transition and the actions that will lay the foundations for a net zero transport future.”
