Thai Union to plant more than 7,000 trees to carbon offset annual global meeting

Thai Union has committed to planting more than 7,000 trees around the world to offset the carbon footprint from its annual global leadership meeting last year.

The global seafood company has partnered with #TeamTrees to have 7,222 trees planted before 2022 as part of the company’s strategy to reduce its environmental footprint.

Darian McBain, Global Director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, said: "At Thai Union, we understand very clearly the threat to our planet from climate change and have already seen a significant impact on the world’s oceans.

“As one of the world’s largest seafood companies, we take very seriously our responsibility to take a leadership position in protecting the environment, and by planting these trees we are taking another step in the right direction.”
