Ancala Partners acquire the largest wind farm in Cyprus

Ancala, an independent infrastructure investment manager, has acquired the largest wind farm in Cyprus with an installed capacity of 82MW.

The Orites wind farm, comprising of 41 Vestas 2MW wind turbines, has been in operation since 2011 and is operated by Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC), a government agency responsible for the transmission, distribution and supply across the island.

All electricity generated is exported to the grid through a long term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the EAC.
