Why future Net Zero?

Why future Net Zero?

Welcome to future Net Zero.

This is a new platform brought to you by Energy Live News and future Net Zero has one aim,  to engage us all on the pathway to Net Zero emissions by 2050.

What is `net zero? Well the UK government believes in this definition:

Net-zero’ emissions means that the total of active removals from the atmosphere offsets any remaining emissions from the rest of the economy. Sometimes ‘net-zero’ is used to refer to CO2 only, and sometimes it refers to all Greenhouse Gases”

I believe that goal only happens with business buying into the challenge and the solutions we will need, will be economic ones.

You will drive a cleaner car because they are made cleaner and are affordable. You can still fly on holiday but your plane might be powered by solar energy. Your clothes will be made of recycled material and you’ll eat food that is made with less energy.

All of this can make our lives and planet better but all of this needs companies to provide us with those cleaner options..

In essence, Better Business leads to a Better Planet.

That’s not to say this is a greenwashing site, far from it. We will cover news and opinion from all quarters around the climate debate and criticise companies if needed. You’ll get information, opinion, news and help.

However, I believe there’s been too much bashing of business and the arguments around denial don’t work.

We all want to make our planet better, it’s our home but we also live in economic realities.

We hope you’ll engage with this platform to learn and share ideas.

So, we can make the future... net zero
