Fast fashion: Are your clothes damaging the planet?

Fast fashion, which involves increased numbers of new fashion collections every year, quick turnarounds and often lower prices, is said to be major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions and consumes lots of water.

MPs on the Environmental Audit Committee are calling on fashion retailers to charge producers a penny per garment to reduce textile waste and boost recycling.
