What a concept! Peugeot rolls out sporty new EV

Peugeot has launched a sporty new concept electric vehicle (EV).

The French firm's e-Legend Concept uses an electric powertrain to drive two motors, producing 456 brake horsepower and giving it a 0-62 miles per hour time of less than four seconds.

Its four-wheel drive system and 100kWh of battery capacity can take it to a top speed of 137 miles per hour and offer a range of more than 370 miles.

The EV includes a range of autonomous features and even a special mode where images are projected from the car’s cameras onto digital surfaces inside the car to offer a more immersive experience.

It also has a built-in video game - a version of Pong.

Matthias Houssan, Concept Car Design Manager, said: "When you see this, it still looks likes a more driver-orientated car. The interior is designed to be warm and comfortable and easy to switch from autonomous to driving mode."
