JOB TITLE: Electrical Procurement Lead

LOCATION: Newcastle. Travel to Edinburgh and London.

SALARY/RATE AND BENEFITS: £500 - £700 per Day

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING: Experience in procurement of large infrastructure procurement contract

IDEALLY YOU ALSO HAVE: Knowledge of key electrical package requirements for a large offshore wind farm

ROLE INFORMATION:

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

* Lead procurement process to appointment of Electrical Package contractor
* Lead the procurement team and ensure coordination of all functional areas in relation to procurement of the package (included but not limited to HSE / Engineering / Legal)
* Ensure the procurement activities are adequately resourced
* Integrate all aspects of the package contract and resolve interfaces
* Propose and monitor compliance to the procurement strategy for the package
* Monitor the development of the contract technical documentation by Engineering
* Monitor the development of the contract terms and condition by Legal
* Ensure all contract documentation is reviewed in compliance with business and project procedures
* Responsible for the integration and management of all ITT documentation
* Act as primary point of contact for tenderers during procurement
* Liaise with other procurement leads to share learning experiences and coordinate communalities between main contracts
* Develop and implement matrix and process for the evaluation of the ITT (including evaluation of sub-suppliers)
* Lead and organise the negotiation of the construction contract
* Participate in internal / external meetings as required
* Track and file all correspondence with suppliers
* Identify all procurement risks and propose action plan to eliminate / mitigate / transfer
* Share and record lessons learned

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

* Track record of successful negotiations of large contracts in the energy sector
* Experienced in procurement of large infrastructure procurement contract
* Experienced in FIDIC terms of contract
* Knowledge of key electrical package requirements for a large offshore wind farm
* Knowledge of key commercial and technical risks related to the electrical package
* Ability to inform the procurement strategy
* Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams
* Ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships within and outside the organisation
