Do you have experience of managing direct telesales teams and / or external telesales providers, ideally within energy or utilities?  Our client – a major retail energy provider – are looking for a Direct Sales Channel Manager to significantly grow their direct sales capability over the next five years. Working with the marketing team to develop sales channels and products, ideally the Direct Sales Channel Manager will have experience of sales techniques and optimisation, across a wide variety of sales segments initially managing and developing an internal telesales team of 10 and working with external parties to deliver the required sales targets. Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery of budgeted Sales numbers on Margin, Volume and site numbers.
  • Development of the appropriate sales strategy to achieve direct sales ambition.
  • Development of the internal telesales team, to achieve the required sales targets and (KPI’s).
  • Management of third party providers appointed to develop direct sales capability.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Team to develop appropriate sales channels and products.
  • Focus on achieving high level of customer satisfaction, with monitoring and reporting on quality and compliance.
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting covering all aspects of Direct Sales team performance.
  • Ownership of the Direct Sales Process and Procedures to ensure effective and efficient.

Skills and experience required:

  • Knowledge of the UK Energy Market is preferred.
  • Knowledge of sales techniques and optimisation.
  • Planning and development against objectives.
  • Sales management experience and motivational skills.
  • Presentation and report-writing skills.
  • Analytical skills using Microsoft Office tools, able to resolve complex issues.
  • Experience of managing a telesales team and external telesales providers.
  • Experience of sales techniques and optimisation, across a wide variety of sales segments.
  • Proven ability to manage customer relationships.
