A specialist in the design and build of renewable energy plants for commercial and industrial applications across the United Kingdom is currently seeking a commercially-focused Project Manager to play an integral role in the next stage of their growth. Operating as part of the senior management team, the Project Manager will be responsible for leading a project team and all commercial activities.

Scope of work

As Project Manager, you will be delivery-focused as you lead projects from contract negotiation through to delivery. Taking a hands-on approach to project execution, you will lead the project team on all commercial and legal activities. You will also play a vital role as a member of the senior management team and negotiate, then manage, major JCT contracts.

Reporting to the board, you will provide a regular review of project execution and performance, ensuring all contract commercial terms are met throughout the delivery of each and every project. You will also ensure the resolution of any contractual and legal issues that arise, providing effective customer relationship management at all times.

Working from their East Midlands facility, the role will involve travelling to project locations across the United Kingdom as, and when, required.

You will:

  • Be familiar with construction contract forms and possess a commercial mind-set to review T&C's and assess risk.
  • Have prior experience managing multi-disciplined engineering projects up to £1m
  • Hold a proven record in resolving contractual issues
  • Have a record in the preparation of monthly board reports on commercial/project progress
  • Have experience liaising with customers on a regular basis.

The company are paying a basic salary of £60,000-£65,000 (depending on experience) with a bonus, car allowance, contributory pension and 25 days holiday + 8 stats.
