Mervyn Bowden

We are very proud to have Mervyn as the Chair of our judges for the 6th year of the industry-leading TELCA awards.

He is Managing Director of Intuitive Energy Solutions Ltd, a consulting company which works right across the energy sector helping organisations drive reductions in both consumption and cost using best-in-class, tried and tested models.

Lots of experience as the former Head of Energy Management for the Marks & Spencer group means an informed focus on strategic planning, risk management and training/people solutions in the energy space.

A key player in Plan A, M & S’s world leading sustainability action plan, Mervyn’s been very active in the media space with many articles published, conferences chaired and a book written – Preparing the Company Energy & Carbon Plan in 2010 which highlighted M & S’s leading energy achievements to help others develop their own plans.

A high profile advocate of robust energy management, he won the Outstanding Industry Contribution/Energy Champion of 2016 award at the Energy Awards 2016, as well as many awards with the brilliant M & S Energy Team, so is well-versed in determining what it takes to win awards!
