Energy management firm snapped up

A European energy management services company has been snapped up by a US fuel supply firm.

Bergen Energi, which helps businesses reduce their energy usage, costs and carbon footprint, said it aims to provide its customers with “access to a worldwide energy network and more competitive offering in risk management products and set-up”.

World Fuel Services Corporation added its subsidiary World Fuel Services Europe’s purchase supports its energy service business in North America and expands it to customers across Europe.

The company is involved in the distribution of energy products and services in aviation, marine and land across 8,000 locations worldwide.
