BP signs estimated £100m North Sea contract

Oil and gas company BP has agreed to a two year contract with services company Cape plc at an estimated value of £100million.

Cape will provide BP with a range of services, including access, insulation, coating, passive fire protection and platform services on six North Sea assets and the Forties Pipeline Systems.

The contract will secure around 500 jobs for Cape employees.

Chief Executive at Cape plc Joe Oatley said: “We are delighted to be awarded this further contract by BP which will allow us to continue to invest in our people through our apprentice, intern and graduate programmes.

“Cape has a long-standing relationship with BP and we look forward to continuing to work with this important client to deliver our critical industrial services across their assets in the North Sea”.
