Want to switch energy supplier? There’s an app for that

Could switching supplier get any smarter? A new free app has been created that could make switching your energy bills easier.

The app called Voltz is designed for the 60% of people who have never switched energy supplier or who think it’s too much of a hassle, said its creators at tech firm Simplifydigital.

After registering their details, users will see a list of all energy tariffs which are available in the UK from all energy suppliers.

A few finger swipes later and users should be able to switch to the best deal available, claim the app designers. They will also get alerts when it’s time to switch again, or if they’re already on the best deal.

Voltz is available on iOS, Android users will have to wait until February to get their fingers on it.
