The client, one of the UK’s largest mechanical and electrical contracting businesses, seeks a Director of Sales to join their Senior Management team.
They will be responsible for creating and developing a sales solution allied to our client’s core values. They will build up a successful team of senior managers through appropriate recruitment, ensuring your direct reports achieve results and develop professionally to support the continued success of the business. Leading a motivated, winning team, setting high personal standards and positively influencing the contracting business is a crucial part of this role.
They will create and develop the team in order to deliver growth, cost and quality. They will also be responsible for delivery of all sales and customer service related KPI's and for achieving budget customer acquisition targets. Introducing robust processes and procedures that ensure quality assurance, auditing, training and all regulatory requirements are exceeded, will also be key to this role. They will understand product profiles and have the ability to predict market trends making, relevant changes as needed.
They should be an expert in their business area and will understand the contribution made by staff at all levels of the organization. They will thrive on change and consistently source new methods and solutions to ensure targets are met. They will be confident managing significant budgets and will be keen to ensure work is completed to a consistent standard, efficiently and in line with safety and quality. Their ultimate goal will be to realize visions of growth though deliverable performance whilst balancing customers’ expectations.
The successful candidate will need a proven track record in an equivalent role within a large company, ideally within mechanical and electrical contracting. Qualified to degree/HND level, They should be an exceptional, influential communicator with strong organization skills and a natural ability to build effective working relationships. They should have a customer service background and be able to demonstrate a passion for results delivery. A positive and flexible approach to working life will help you ride the peaks and troughs of this challenging role. Significant travel across the UK will also be required so a full driving licence is essential.
