French manufacturer Alstom has kicked off construction at the 90MW wind farm in Poland.
The Lotnisko facility in Kopaniewo, which will include 30 wind turbines, is said to be one of the largest renewable energy projects in the nation. It is Alstom's first wind power project in Poland.
Yves Rannou, Senior Vice President of Alstom Wind business said: “Alstom is proud to contribute to this project, thus confirming our involvement in the development of the wind power sector and the effort to build a sustainable energy mix in Poland.”
It is scheduled to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2015.
