EDF Energy says it has dusted off negotiations with trade unions on work arrangements for building the new nuclear power plant, Hinkley Point C.
The agreements with GMB, Prospect, UCATT and Unite cover supervisors and support service workers such as security, transport, cleaning and catering as well as construction workers.
They are for not just pay and productivity but also industrial relations, recruitment, training, health and welfare, according to EDF.
Hinkley Point C is expected to create 25,000 new construction jobs: this includes around 5,600 people employed on site at peak building time and 900 permanent jobs during operation.
