Surprise encounter sets up Day Two of the Power

Surprise encounter sets up Day Two of the Power

Geoff Curran writes...

Day two and rain is in the air....ahhh the Great British Summer, you can always rely on it.

But no worries, day one was a great start and something I did not mention was we bumped into an old friend on the River Lea yesterday.

As we wandered along the towpath, close to Waltham Abbey, we came across Kelvin Ross, one of Sumit's oldest friends and the man who helped us when we first started Energy Live News. He is now the Editor of Power Engineering International. And last night he popped out for a beer as he lives close to Royston.

Now the great thing about doing a ride which we can flex (wow, sounds like a big energy contract!) is the opportunity to change things and today we get to change things because of the discussion with Kelvin. He lives in a village close to Royston and it has a wind turbine which supplies community energy, so we are off to see that and then onto Bourn Airport to see the solar farm there.

Finally, we get to March where we will meet with the fantastic team at CUB and they have laid on a welcome for us.
