A measly one in four (24%) Brits understand the reasons put forward by suppliers for recent energy price rises.
The new poll suggests suppliers have a way to go to explain energy bills to customers.
Meanwhile a majority of UK consumers (73%) believe their energy provider could do more to help them reduce their energy bills.
Accenture’s annual New Energy Consumer research surveyed 652 UK energy consumers as part of wider research across 26 countries.
The poll also reveals positive vibes towards solar, with more than a third (35%) of Brits is considering getting solar panels in the next five years, up from 8% now.
