‘Four killed in oil tanker blast’ in China

Four workers are said to have died after an oil tanker exploded and caught fire at a shipyard in east China.

Chinese reports suggest seven people were working on the ship when the explosion occurred at Haizhou Shipyard in the port city of Zhoushan. Four bodies are believed to have recovered but the search continues for three other men.

Authorities in China are investigating the cause of the accident.

Earlier this month, nearly 20,000 “disaster risks” were uncovered following an investigation into the Chinese oil and gas sector.
