Any colour you like, as long as it's green

Good Energy has announced it is teaming up with BMW to help make sure its electric vehicles (EVs) aren’t still running on fossil fuels.

The two will work together to develop a tailor-made green tariff for EVs that keeps their carbon 'tyreprint' to a minimum. The tariff will be offered to customers who buy BMW’s i3 and i8 electric cars.

Good Energy said it gets all its electricity from renewable sources in the UK, something it claimed no other supplier can promise.

Charmaine Coutinho, Business Development Manager at the green energy supplier said: “[Our] raison d’etre is growing renewables in the UK. Working with BMW means that we can ensure that drivers of BMW electric vehicles in the UK get to think about where their electricity is coming from.  Why charge an electric car with electricity generated from fossil fuels when you can choose renewables?”
