TELCAs should create industry standard for TPIs

TELCAs should create industry standard for TPIs

The Energy Live Consultancy Awards (TELCAs), which will be held this summer, should create an industry standard for energy consultants and TPIs.

That’s the view of GDF SUEZ Energy UK, which is sponsoring the Best Customer Service award for Industrial and Commercial (I&C) companies.

With energy firms and brokers recently receiving a lot of bad press, the firm says it wants to focus on the positive aspects of consultants.

The energy supplier believes consultancy is very important within the marketplace and to the firm itself. It is working towards an “engagement plan” to help make working practices much better with consultancies and said TELCA is a part of that.

Anna Cowell (pictured), TPI Relationship Manager said she hopes the awards will set a standard for the industry. She said: “I really hope these awards will offer an industry standard and benchmarking that consultancies and TPIs can work towards. I think they’ll offer some kind of recognition towards the positive work and positive aspect that consultancies do offer to the market.”

She added the firm is looking for consultancies and TPIs that put the customer first and customer service “at the heart of its business”.
