E.ON and SCA’s new wind projects in Sweden

Energy firm E.ON has signed a joint agreement with a Swedish paper products manufacturer to develop wind power projects in Sweden.

Ake Westberg, Head of SCA Energy said: “The joint venture includes approximately 270 wind power stations and a total energy production of more than 2TWh corresponding to the electricity required for warming 100,000 Swedish households.”

Investment decisions are expected to be made by 2014 or 2015 and the project is expected to be in operation by 2016-2017.
