TEAM offer Renewable Heat Incentive Support Service

TEAM offer Renewable Heat Incentive Support Service

TEAM is offering a new service to support UK based organisations with their Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) applications. In the first few months of the RHI over 70% of applications failed, mainly due to heat meter problems. From assisting with independent heat meter inspections and reports, to guidance and support for full RHI applications, our experienced and qualified engineers will provide all the necessary support to ensure a comprehensive report is submitted to Ofgem.

Professor Tony Day explains why TEAM are now offering the service “Applications can be made to Ofgem for eligible systems installed and commissioned after 15th July 2009, but evidence of the application process in the first year of RHI operation has shown that many systems do not get approved at the first attempt. This will delay the start of the claim, can add considerable cost to a project and may act to deter the installation of renewable heating systems. However, renewables offer a good way to reduce carbon emissions, and to significantly reduce energy bills, providing the RHI can be claimed in full. TEAM can provide early advice to ensure a heat meter installation and strategy will be fully compliant with RHI requirements.”

TEAM has written the B&ES Guide to Good Practice: Heat Metering for the RHI. This has become the industry-recognised standard for a procedure of particular importance in the context of the RHI. The guide is available from B&ES online:  https://www.b-espublications.co.uk/Ecommerce/ID/146/Product/ GuidetoGoodPracticeHeatMetering/Details.aspx.
