Norway giving $300m a year to poor nations going green

Oil and gas-rich Norway is giving $300million (£250m) a year to help poor countries increase their access to energy and cut their emissions, according to a foreign ministry official. The Norwegian government's funds will go to nine nations including Bhutan, Ethiopia and Nepal as part of an international project called the Energy+ Partnership which counts the UK and France in its ranks, it was reported.
