Chris Huhne has been criticised for allegedly smearing two Tory MPs, one live on air and another accidentally on social media site Twitter.
Revealing he had leaked Home Secretary Theresa May's speech to a national newspaper, he accidentally posted a private message on Twitter that read: "from someone else fine but I do not want my fingerprints on the story. C".
The Energy Secretary apologised to Mrs May in a BBC interview but then made another gaffe after claiming in a television interview that Philip Hammond, the Transport Secretary, had recently received points on his licence for speeding.
It has been reported that Mr Hammond had points for a speeding offence in the past, which have now expired.
