Lipstick powered by solar

A British perfume and cosmetics factory is using solar power to make its products. Hampshire Cosmetics is capitalising on the Government's Feed in Tariffs scheme, which gives people money for making their own energy. It is making 20% energy savings after covering its 55,000sq ft roofspace with solar panels.

Anesco, the energy services firm that installed the 277 kWp (kilowatt peak) solar panel project (roughly equivalent to 235,000 kilowatt hours), believes it is one of the largest "zero capital" projects in the country.
