EDF and Daikin team up

EDF and Daikin team up

One of the Big Six energy suppliers, EDF Energy, has signed a partnership with Daikin, producers of heating systems, in a bid to remain a low carbon leader in the UK.

Angus Wilby, Head of Energy Services at EDF Energy, said: "Heat pumps are ideal for customers who are looking to upgrade their heating and hot water systems, and who also want to reduce their energy bills and carbon emissions."

The Daikin Altherma monobloc air-to-water heat pump is Microgeneration Certification Scheme accredited for domestic heating and hot water systems.

This endorsement is significant in energy saving and EDF say customers can use it to save money.

Mr Wilby said: "The Government has recently announced the launch of the Renewable Heat Incentive and Premium Payments for air source heat pump technologies, which will provide customers with a financial benefit for choosing this technology."
