Heriot-Watt get £388k for energy research

Researchers at Heriot-Watt University have won £388,000 worth of funding to look at future urban demand for energy.

As part of the ARIES project (Adaptation and Resilience in Energy Systems), the team from the Urban Energy Research Group will study the likely changes in the built environment's energy demands as a result of climate change up to 2080.

Heriot-Watt will work on the £1.1million ARIES project with the Institute of Energy Systems and the Centre for Earth System Dynamics at the University of Edinburgh.
