Save 12% on energy bills with IT efficiency

Businesses could save 12% on energy bills by managing their IT systems more efficiently.

A new IBM report has found that for every pound spent powering IT and general office equipment in an organisation, 32 pence is wasted.

The report suggests that since the power consumption of this equipment typically represents 40% of an organisation's total electricity bill, companies could cut it by 12% if they use their systems more efficiently.

The new white paper called "Energy and low carbon: More haste, less waste" looked at over 100 public and private sector organisations over three years.
