Two thirds of us are concerned about energy prices

A survey conducted on behalf of LG that reveals public concern over rising energy bills and suggests an awareness of greener alternatives. Some 65% of people polled were wary of the price rises with 71% of the same group opting to put on a jumper before turning up the heat.

Green technology solutions such as heat pumps can provide alternative sources of energy for the consumer, with nearly half of those questioned being aware of such technologies.

Paul Hopkins, UK general manager, LG air conditioning division said: "Coming at a time when most of us are turning on our central heating again and thinking about how to keep our homes warm this coming winter, the rising costs of energy bills have caused an extra nip in the air."

The UK government has recently announced plans to support 'energy efficient makeovers' for homes by offering loans to households to fund such alternative solutions, which could reduce the cost of keeping warm during the winter.
